Non-discriminatory admissions policy
Benha University is a governmental institution governed by Egyptian laws, especially the Egyptian Constitution governing laws. Because we believe that all people are equal in public rights, freedoms and duties, we affirm our commitment to the provisions of the law to ensure a smooth and fair national education process.
Article 19 of the Egyptian Constitution stipulates that:
Education is the right of every citizen, whose aim is to build Egyptian personality, preserve the national identity, root the scientific curriculum in thinking, develop talents and encourage innovation, consolidate cultural and spiritual values, establish the concepts of citizenship, tolerance and non-discrimination. The State is committed to taking into account education objectives in the curriculum and means of education and providing it in accordance with international quality standards. Education is obligatory until the end of the secondary level or its equivalent, and the State guarantees free education at different stages in the State's educational institutions, in accordance with the law. The State is committed to allocating at least 4% of the Government's expenditure to education, which is gradually escalating to agree with global rates. It is overseen by the State to ensure that all public and private schools and institutes adhere to their educational policies. Text of the Act
Article 53 of the Egyptian Constitution stipulates that:
Citizens are equal before the law and are equal in public rights, freedoms and duties, and are not discriminated on the grounds of religion, creed, sex, origin, race, color, language, disability, social level, political or geographical affiliation or for any other reason. Discrimination and incitement to hatred are offences punishable by law. The State is obligated to take the necessary measures to eliminate all forms of discrimination and the law regulates an establishment of an independent commission for this purpose. Text of the Act
