Goals

SDG 11: Sustainable cities and economies

The university’s faculties are concentrated in urban and semi-urban areas in Benha, Shoubra, and Moshtohor. To accommodate the increasing number of students and encourage them to choose credit-hour programs, a new branch was opened in El-Obour, and a Benha National University is currently being established on a 37-acre site. Efforts to ensure that the El-Obour branch and Benha National University are safe and sustainable require guaranteeing that students can reach the branch safely and affordably, improving transportation, creating green public spaces, and enhancing planning and management systems.

This is achieved through:

  • The University Landscaping Coordination Unit
  • The University Engineering Administration
  • The University Transportation and Garage Administration
  • The Academic Advising Unit in the university faculties and the role of academic advisors with students
  • University dormitories and hotel housing
  • The University Administrative Quality Unit and the Campus Spaces Committee
  • The University Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center
  • Youth Welfare and the University Student Union Committees
